Spring Branch Academic Institute student named Regeneron Science Talent Search Finalist
 

 

Spring Branch Academic Institute (SBAI) senior Jaeho Lee has been named a 2026 Regeneron Science Talent Search finalist, placing him among the nation’s top young researchers in one of the most prestigious science and math competitions for high school seniors.

SBAI is a specialized SBISD high school serving academically advanced students with a focus on research, innovation, and college readiness.

Jaeho’s project, Affine Group of Integers Modulo n, Conjugacy Classes and Representations, explores advanced mathematical structures and theory. He was selected as a finalist from more than 2,600 applicants nationwide, representing 35 schools across 15 states. Finalists will compete for more than $1.8 million in awards, including a top prize of $250,000.

The Regeneron Science Talent Search, now in its 85th year, is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors and is administered by the Society for Science.
